This man is making me very happy at the moment. After hearing Les Environs a few weeks back I was a quick convert to his warm synths, melodies and spaced out atmosphere. The title of his track "Analog Sparkles" explains everything. Remember "The Beach"? I do. Far too well. Well, when I make that movie my own reality (except for all the violence and creepy hippie infighting) and we have our parties (you know at the end before the pot farmers come?), Compuphonic can play anytime. They played Mory Kante. Also a good choice.

This 2002 track was included in Felix Da Housecats Excursion mix and more recently on Cut Copys Fabriclive mix where it was used for a paltry minute and a half. Finally got my hands on a full length copy this morning and Im psyched. Its a great little tune reminiscent of Thomas Bangalters On Da Rocks with some bubbly synths, guitars and disco string stabs up in the mix. Happy happy shit yall. Found Diamonds myspace page and it looks like this was his only song so far but an album is in the works, he says "Right now Ive been working on an album & fine tuning the machine to 1982 and foward to 2010!" and I say, "Hey I like 1982."
